Custom dome light idea.
Hey guys hows it going? i have a 94 xj sport 4 door lifted 4.5 inches, its a project truck, i decided to put a new sound system in it, its red, i wanna wire an led strip into the xj by the windshield to use as a dome light that only comes on when the door is open. I did this on a dodge 1500, but not sure if it would be the same thing for my xj, on the dodge i ran the wires right to the dome light in the truck and spliced in, would i do the same for the xj or can i make it easier and go to the fuse box? The reason for doing this is, i have no interior light, its not the bulb i checked that, let me know what you guys think and ill get back to ya.

Yes you should be fine to splice in, i have with some led pads. No problem.
