Default Dana 44 Rear

Hi all,

Not a Jeep related question, but the Dodge guys haven't been much help.

I have a 69 Dodge Dart GTS that was built in Mexico.

These came factory with a Dana 44 Rear which is unique to the Mexican built cars and did come in any of the US built cars.

Being that my current car is a 5x4 bolt pattern and finding wheels is difficult, I was thinking of fitting a Cherokee disc rear.

So I'm just looking to find more info on the Dana 44 that came in the Jeeps. What bolt pattern are they, the width and if they came with discs or not.

The other option I have read is fitting a 2000 Cherokee 8.25 disc rear.

Any info would be appreciated.

Any assistance identifying the Diff would be great as well.

The Jeep Dana 44 has a bolt pattern of 5X4.5 and should be 60" wide at the axle flanges. The D35 JZ disc brakes fit them but do not come on the D44
