Crossover Steering issues
So I have finally installed my cavfab crossover steering and now when Im running at some speed and bump into a pothole I get death wobble. I never had any issues with the stock steering setup and now im getting this issue. Can anyone advise from pictures attached if therr is something wrong with my steering setup.

I haven't had experience specifically with CavFab, but if the drag link bend will allow it swap the drag link with the tie rod. The drag link needs to be parallel to the track bar, that is the ends need to be at the same relative height as with the OEM set up

I would mount the drag link on top of the drag link and see if that improves the ride. I have it setup like that and it rides very good

I always thought crossover steering meant the drag link crossed over the tie rod. Try switching them and if no interference see how it drives.
I found $.02 today |

That makes no sense, no. IRO is the only brand that designed a steering with the drag link crossover the tie rod. Tie rod always goes under the drag link in proper crossover steering.

Hard to tell by the pictures, but it would really help if you had a straight on front shot that showed both ends of both rods in one picture (picture should show at least both front tires on the inside edge).
With that said, from what I can tell by the pictures your angles are off. Try flipping the drag link to the top of the pitman arm if it fits and drive it, if you problem is reduced or goes away, as I suspect it will, order a non dropped pitman arm or smaller drop as required and reinstall the draglink to the bottom of the arm as shown in the pictures. BTW, brave move on the giant spacers on the front axle...... |
Holy mother of Wheel spacers Batman! Try moving your Drag Link over the Pitman arm. make sure all the Jam nuts are tight on the Heim's. Are you positive that you drilled out your knuckles straight and didnt end up with an oblong hole? My MJ is sitting at 6" and i have to have it Over the pitman. My XJ is sitting at 4" and i have to have it under the Pitman. Same steering.

So I followed what most of you have said and moved the drag link over the pitman arm and that totally fixed my problem.
