first thing. i have some vibes after my 3" lift install so i wanted to do a TC drop. i broke a bolt off and had to cut open passenger floor to get to it. (there where no drain plugs to pull as someone told me there should be.) there was some kind of sheet metal i-beam with cementish stuff setup in there where someone had moved the crossmember so the front bolt is right next to where the rear bolt was and the rear bolt is back more. odd thing is the case looks like its supported in the right spot, there are a few electrical connectors that are just hanging there too. did my xj have a different TC before, would that need the crossmember to be slid back 4"?

also have a clunk and a quick grind when i let off the gas. this started right after the lift install, never noticed any noises before that. any ideas? driveshaft,u-joint,etc?

Maybe other mounts are for a manual crossmember?

As for the noise, check and see if your U joint is knuckling. Mine did the same noise letting off the gas and firmly braking.
