Hey it's yours! Contrary to what society thinks... you can do anything you want too with it. You have no idea what I have seen over the years with paint jobs and interior. I'm from the 60's and 70's. lol I have seen VW bugs and Buses fully covered with **** carpet instead of paint on the exterior.

Haha... thankfully it's the only one I've ever seen... and that was in the 90's.

I thought so too. The wood grain vinyl contact paper heat molded over all the metal was kind of cool though.

One of my guilty pleasures is watching Count's Kustoms find (and often violate) old cars on the History Channel, and every now and then they'll have one with **** or fur.

You mean like on the side of a station wagon. When I was a kid I had a '69 Chevy Kingswood Estate. 396 with a four barrel that had that stuff. Was a hand me down. Used to be my Mom's car. That thing was awesome. Thinking about this when I was out for a drive, on vacation this week, I know something they need to bring back. The padded velour seats like in mid 70's to mid 80's GM's. Remember those 60/40 bench seats. Those combined with a 6 way power seat was like driving your couch or Barcalounger down the road.

Yep, that's the stuff. And those huge cars were made when gas was affordable enough to haul a couch around, they were tanks! lol For awhile I had a huge mercury esquire wagon with the wood grain sides. It was about the same thing as an LTD but in a station wagon. Seated 9 and had a 429. Those would have been good motors to build up but they were put out with split cam bearings.

Some engineers bad idea for saving 2 cents that ended up costing that motor all credibility. They were hard to beat if one pressed solid bearings in them. But the stain remained and then gas got expensive so they were done for. Too bad... If I remember right they were a "square" motor too.

I typed the motor wrong. 396 cu in. I remember the sticker on the air cleaner said 265 horse. Realizing when I got a little older that the 396's that came in Chevy SS's were all 325,350,or 375 horse. Thinking in the '65 to '70 year range. Always figured that would be the engine in a truck built in that era if you ordered one with a 396. Never actually saw one. So not even sure if it could be had.

Is that crazy or what? When I was younger we used to find old newspapers. You look in the car section and you see people selling a '65 GTO, lets say, for $3K. And the newspaper is dated '66. Today if you found that car complete, numbers matching, not running, been rusting in a field for the last 30 years you would probably pay more then that.

Same car cherried out original probably 30k now? We were still on the Silver and Gold standard then and the dollar was worth an actual dollar.

I poked around. I used own a '65 Lemans with a six and 2 speed slip and slide automatic. Was my very first car. Given to me when I was 14. Also my Mom's.

Thinking 30K would be a steal according that site. Check out the price of a Tri Power set up on ebay:
