Default crank pulley

hey guys. how do i get my crank pulley off? i was prying on it and using a hammer lightly but i didnt want to do any damage so i didnt go all out. thanks for any tips!!

The harmonic balancer is the crank pulley and sometimes you need to use a puller on them. You can rent one from most part stores. Just be sure to use anti-sieze when you reinstall it. Good luck.

also save yourself, the more than two trips to the auto store, rent a harmonic balancer installer.
also with the puller, it should come with a cone adaptor, if you use it you wont screw up the threads on the crankshaft.

Yes, most of the good kits will include both the puller and installer. So be sure to ask them about both.
