Craigslist Sale
So I found this here locally and need some info.
http://lascruces.en.craigslist.org/cto/2271619842.html
Anyone here have any experience with the RE 5.5 non long arm kit. The Jeep is a wreck but the lift, wheel, extras such as new carpet, new never installed SYE kit as well as RE 3.5 kit come with the package. I am going to install this on a 99 and would like to know what, if any, are the differences from this year model to a 99? Would this kit, once RE opens back up, be upgradable to the long arm kit? I know the kit pretty much drops the lower control arms as well. Now would this affect articulation?
Any info would greatly be appreciated.
Seems like a deal I can't pass up.

you can put a long arm kit from ANY manufacture on there... IT does not matter...
and on a side note... who cares if RE does not open back up... most of the people that had their stuff where RE snobs... lol

5.5" with short arms is not gonna be the best of rides and the tires look shot. So basically your paying $1900 for a lift that was only $1500 brand new, and some rims. Not the best deal if you ask me. Just my 2 cents.
I guess im a snob for having an re lift.

I had the 4.5 in RE short arm lift. It rode good. I loved the life! Only complaint I had was the coils started to sag about a yr after the loft was put on. My pics show the flex.

I ran that kit for a good bit, still run parts of it, and it flexes quite well. Not quite as good as a long arm but drop brackets work pretty good.

good deal, looking forward to it. As far as the tires go, well I'm not concerned as I will be wrapping those wrangler wheels with some new KM2's.

Well I've got it for less than 1900, 1400 to be exact. But with new wheels, a new SYE kit in the box for the 231, a full size new spare. I can't go wrong.
