corporate 14 bolt
I got 2 of these axles one has welded diff the other is a Detroit locker
now i have read that these are great for 40 inch tires plus
Now they measures 63 inches my Dana 35 measures 60 inches
Not a big difference but sure will be noticed
Now my? is this since i paid nothing for them is the weight and strength worth the swap (plan on 35 inch tires maybe bigger later)

you can use the welded one and make a corp 14 front axle too. As long as you can re-tube or butt weld/sleeve tubing. you can do it that way too

Since the axles were free it is well worth the install. However if it were me I would try to either find a XJ D44 or an 8.8 with factory 4.10 and a lsd. That swap would be much easier and can handle 35" easy. Also you won't have an issue of width, i know the 8.8 is a little narrower but 1.5" spacers would fix that. Then you could probably sell the 14 bolt axles for enough to cover the cost of all the parts, and maybe even pocket some cash. Either way it sounds like a fun project. Good luck

I have only seen one 14 bolt on the front and that was on tv but i will check in to that i know my welding would be good for pearches and maybe a cage so i would rather keep the axles for a shop.
would be great swap big axles with big brakes
Now i will go bigger on tires at a very later date but is on my list of goals

35s plus a 14 bolt is gonna hurt you. It will drag over every rock. Plus the 14 bolt has 8 lugs not 5. Your 15 inch wheels might clear the drums but I doubt it. I see 40s and 17inch wheels in your future. Just my .02

Yeah i already looking at some wheels
I have thought about that but i don't see to many rocks very much and what i have seen i could probably make with the right line and some good judgement but on a bigger note they are Heavy duty so if i catch a few rocks i doubt would hurt anything but the paint lol

spend a bit of time over at pirate 4x4. they have plenty of threads on making a 14 bolt front with dana 60 outers and and how to shave them for ground clearance
