converting back to carb and points?

would it be possible to convert my 92-4.0 to a carb and points distributor? i'm sick of codes and tps's and trans solinoids. a carbed, point type distributor and manual tranny like my old 75 cj had would be a blessing to me. can this be done with my engine?

Might as well just get rid of that troublesome new fangled electric starter while you're at it.

Seriously tho, what specs do you plan for the camshaft?
What are you gonna use for a fuel pump?

Anything can be done given enough time & money.

i have no idea. just curious. when i had the cj, i could work on everything. now i'm chasing codes and switches and relays. just seems like the old cj with a 3 speed manuel was less trouble. my xj is street legal, but hardly ever drive it anywhere but at the lease and thinking about not registering it this year. same with the cj, just kept it at the camp. wish i'd kept that thing.
