Control arm drop bracket issues
Has anyone who's installed the rough country brackets had any issues? My jeep now slightly wanders after the install and alignment..I'm running a 5.5" lift, adjustable lowers and stock uppers. Before the install, the jeep was solid, and steered straight as an arrow, it had a harsh ride and didn't flex well, but now it flexes and rides nicely, but has this irritating wander..... Any help would be appreciated.

No problems here and im at 4 inches of lift. If the alignment was done right, there shouldnt be any problems. Also are the bushings in your control arms in good condition, how about your unit bearings or track bar bushings? Play in these can cause a little wandering.

Only probem I've had is the bolts that go into the unit body backing out every single ride, so I welded the bracket to the unit body and now no issue.

Tim, did they give you a print out of your alignment? Sometimes they get it wrong, and if you don't have an alignment print out that you can check, you just assume they got it correct.

I'll have to. Check the castor. I had a Firestone do the alignment, I lost the paper work though. How would I measure the castor? From which point to which point? I think the toe is incorrectly adjusted as well. I can set that no problem...

Is probably you caster angle.
Don't even bother with chain store shop...with a little patient, you can do a better job. (most of these shop would just push out the LCA rather than extending them).
Try and extend your LCAs.

Not enough caster often associated with vibrations and D wobble, if the front end searches then there may be too much toe in. 1/16" toe in should so you right without too much twitchy steering. You can measure the toe with a tape, a friend helps.
Botakbeng gave a link to "jeep-xj.info" that site has the info you need plus a lot more. Great XJ info site, worth checking.
