Default Control Arm

Are new control arms needed for a 3in lift? Or are new bushings just a good idea?

Avoid any control arms that use poly bushings.

Yes, but they will pull your axle aft.

You will be fine. I'm running stock length arms at 4.5. But its really annoying driving. 3 link in may.

I have a 3" lift with stock arms. My bushings are kinda shot, and the ride suffers from that. They were fine until the lift lol.

I recommend adjustable control arms too, just incase. Better to spend 100 extra bucks now then drop a lot more later when you lift it more. Personally I'm going to get Ironman 4x4's adjustable control arms in a bit, since he's having a 10% off sale till xmas.

Yes. Unless you're going to wheel it hard right away, you should be fine. It's a tight fit, but it'll work just fine. And I agree with AA (quoted above) on all but one thing... if money is tight and you're going to go bigger LATER, you can upgrade the LCA's when you go back in to add more lift, because you CAN use your stock LCA's for a 3" lift right now and save a few bucks.

If you're going to go out and beat on it right away though... get the adj arms.

Aftermarket control arms will give more flex as well. Stock ones limit how far the axle can drop.
