Default considering regearing...am I missing something?

Lately I've been considering going to 33's instead of 31's when I get tires, and dont want to go that big without regearing. But is 4.88 the lowest ratio available for the D30 front? That's the lowest ratio I saw at Randy's Ring and Pinion. I was kinda hoping for 5.13's with 33's, to keep from having to downshift so much on the road.

From Everything I've seen yes 4.88 is as low as you can go.

That's probably going a little bit deep on the gearing. Most guys go 4.56 on 33's and 4.88 on 35's,

Guess I'll just plan on 4.88's then. Thanks.

And the reason for going so low is because I have the 2.5. What gears most people run wont be low enough for me. I'm already rarely able to use 5th gear with 29" tires and the factory 4.10's.
I did, however, run my Silverado for a while on 33's with 5.13's, I loved it. Can't gear anything too low imo.

Oh sorry Kirk, didn't realize you had the 2.5, the app doesn't show me signatures or specs. I can see why you'd want the, 5.13s.

4.88s and 33s max speed is like 70.
EDIT: Didn't see you were on the 2.5. I'm not sure what that would amount to.

I'm not spending money on a 4.0. Not even considering it.

It will go over 70. RPMs shouldnt be much higher with 33s and 4.88s than they currently are with 29s and 4.10s. And I've had it over 100 mph like it is now, it will definitely run highway speeds with 4.88s and 33s.
