compatible transmissions for 87' xj
hi guys, im new here. I have an 87' xj with a peugeot transmission in it and its not going to last. I took the tail housing off and 5th gear is already start to round off. I want to swap it out for a better transmission. I know that the ax 15 is a great transmission for them and thats one that i want i just cant find any so im here asking if anybody knows of any other transmission that would work in the jeep?

Where are you located? Ax-15s are all over the place. you can get them any day of the week here at the local upull for like 100$

I'm in kern county in California and nobody has any for sale around here for less than 750
