Comp cam xtreme4x4
I ordered comp cam 68-232-4 and looking through the paper work it says 926-12 springs required. I was under the impression the cam wouldn't need anything else to work for my 95 xj. Do I need to get these springs also?

most people running that cam use the mopar performance springs. But yes, you can drive it with stock springs, your valves are gonna float once you're much over 4000 rpms though without the stiffer springs.

Stay open when they're supposed to be closed. The spring isn't strong enough to react to the bigger cam at high RPM's and doesn't snap shut before the cam comes around again to open it.
This results in lost compression or even worse running your piston into your valve. Both bad things.

not unless you're disciplined enough to keep your foot out of it, and stay below 4k.

To be honest, I'm not 100% sure if our keepers and retainers will work or not. I just know it seems to be the concensus to change em. Those are definitely the springs you need though. while you got the head off, be sure to get a valve lapping kit and lap those valves, most of these jeeps valves have some pitting going on by now and they need to be rubbed back to smooth, along with their seats in the head.
