Comanche leafs on Cherokee
So simple question I started wondering about. Since the Comanche leafs is "axle over leaf". Would it lift my Cherokee a good bit if I put regular stock Comanche leafs on my Cherokee since its "leaf over axle". Should give a good 4" of lift right?

I can't remember where I saw it, and I may be wrong, but I read somewhere if you use stock Comanche leaves it'll give you a very large amount of lift simply because they're so much longer.

lol, you could just get the longest shackles you could find then manhandle the comanche leafs into place. I bet that would get you a could 6-8 inches of lift....

you can do it but a few things to remember
1) your axle will be pushed bck
2) you will either make a new front mount or use a shackle relocation bracket with a lift shackle
3) new drive shaft

You will also need to move the gas tank if you move the axle back... as well as do exhaust work. Did I mention cut your wheel wells

Dang. I was just hoping that It'll match right up into the Cherokee's mounting spots since it's basically just a truck version of a Cherokee. haha but Idk, guess not

Commanche leaves are longer... as well as the center pin is 2" further back. They are also 5" longer behind the center pin then a xj. They can be used with a bunch of mods... just not in thier currnet configuration
