Default Cold Air Intake and Performance Chips

Hello to all,

Looking for some help with modifications to my 1994 Jeep Cherokee Automatic.

I was thinking of adding cold air intake and a performance chips. Very new to modifications. looking for some direction.

What I would really like to do is add some more power to the old girl.

Can anybody help.

Performance chips for an OBD I Cherokee are pointless. They are junk even for the newer versions of the Cherokee. All they do is control fuel trim levels and maybe do something with the timing of spark. Otherwise, junk.

CAI can have its benefits considering it is a true CAI. In order to achieve this, either make your own cowl or safari snorkel, or isolate your air intake from the engine bay heat.

Upgrade your injectors to the #703 Neon injectors. 4-holes with better atomization = smoother idle, slightly more power because the fuel is burning more efficiently, and a modest increase in MPG.

The mod list for the XJ is endless. Im sure many more people will throw some of their coolest mods in here.
