So i bought 3" coil spacers for my 96 cherokee and two separate times i tried putting them on but couldnt get the axle to drop low enough to fit them. Any suggestions on what to do to make it easier?.

Undo the upper CAs, trac bar (axle side), and sway bar links.

Jack one side up to drop the other.

WOW 3 inch spacer!
You want to un bolt one end of the LOWER control arms both driver and passenger sides... not the uppers. The uppers will go down farther then the lowers. The lowers hit the shock mount and stop. Also disconnect the swaybar links and steering. You should be fine with the track bar still in... if not remove that from the axle side too. I never use a coil spring compressor but that gets the job done just kinda a pain in my book. Good luck and post up any more questions. But FYI this is the build thread location.

Recommend you get new aftermarket lower control arms that are extended. Also extended shocks would be good too or just get bar pin eliminators to give you that 1-2 inches.

Disconect sway bar and shocks. Should be enough. If not go rent a coil compressor from Advance Auto a well.

3 inch spacers?! 2 inch better in my opinion. I've done 6 lift kits (2 inch spacers x2, 3" lift coils with 2 inch spacers x2, 4.5 coils, and 4.5 lift coils with 2 inch spacers). Not once have I disconnected the control arms. When one side hangs you can jack up the opposite end to flex the other side down more. My experience

Disconnect the sway bar links track bar and shocks which you should need to replace anyway
