I posted it mostly to show throttle body spacers are a scam on a fuel injected motor, and that a programmer and a cai are not gonna give your xj 50HP.

Tb spacer seems to help with low end and at least from my expirence intakes help a lot. Not 50 horse but that an exhaust and a tb spacer makes a really noticeable difference, for me at least. Maybe ten horse if I were to guess maybe less than that. But there's definatley a noticable difference.

article is stupid and pointless. they have the only 4.0 i've ever seen a writeup on that actually lost power from swapping to the newer style intake. i would never believe hp claims on mods, nor would i spend a fortune trying to increase power on this tractor motor. if i wanted to make it fast, i woulda started with a 5.9 zj. i'll spend my money on suspension mods and making my rig capable

I have the 99 up horseshoe intake and I could feel the diff in the seat of my pants. I read that article in my issue of JP awhile back and laughed.

Just about the only way to get a good power increase is either to stroke or blow it, TB spacers and chips are just about worthless on these.
