I guess so. I was just lucky and my ignition coil and (assumed) TPS went out at the same time.
I'm on the verge of a man temper tantrum though. Damn CPS is not fun to change whatsoever. I'm lucky I have ramps to elevate.
Spent the rest of the night figuring out how to get it out. Got the new one installed...works worse than my last one!! So now I have to pull out this sensor, go exchange for another hoping that one will work, and install. Grrrr!! Anger.

Well..I'm angry. Installed the new CPS, turned it over it stuttered and then started right up. Drove it around town for 10 minutes without any problems. Got home, parked. Turned it off. Sat and thought. Turned it back on. NOPE!
CEL is back on and the jeep won't turn over or, if it does, runs super rough.
Am I having the curse of the cheapo CPS? Or is there something else wrong that's killing my new sensor?
Going to autozone again tomorrow morning to get the code read. That is, if I can even get it there and back home.

Dealership cps was $6 more than the AutoZone cps when I replaced mine three months ago. See if you can just get a refund and get the better part.

Though irritating as it is, this whole mess wouldn't be as bad if it were as easy to change as the TPS... My hands barely fit up into the area housing the CPS.

I didn't realize they were that close in price. Thought I read somewhere they were pricier. Waiting for the parts dept to open to get a new sensor.

Wires are fine, if it was a wiring issue it wouldn't have ran so well the first time I started it up. Damn thing warmed up and then crapped out.
Called the dealership, part won't be in until Tuesday. So now my heep is an expensive paperweight until then

Doesn't the Duralast CPS have a lifetime warranty?
