Chrysler ZJ disk brakes
I am looking at converting my xj with chrysler 8.25 to disk brakes using one of the write-ups on this forum such as this one: https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f51/re...-8-25-a-57807/
Has anyone done this? I would like to know if the parts required need to come of a zj with a d35 or d44a or do both work? The article doesn't specify, but I am worried there could be differences.

D35 ZJ. Get the longer caliper mounting studs, wheel studs, and the "guts" from the donor vehicle's proportioning valve.

WJ's & JK's have a 5 on 5 bolt pattern.
Or did you mean for the backing plates?

Hey, those writeups look familiar!
If you want to order new (I have bad luck when removing studs, the ends always seem to get mashed) Dorman 610-234 is what you want. If your parts store tries to substitute Paulin or other, don't take 'em. They're not actually 100% compatible - the knurled section protrudes into the rotor. Can get around it but you literally have to hammer the rotor on, grind the knurled bit off, or enlarge the rotor holes.
And YJ, KJ, MJ, LJ(TJ-U) Rubicon D44s
MJ/XJ D44 is not compatible with the rest of the family for backing plates. Holes need to be welded up and redrilled in new locations. Just slightly off
