Chrysler 8.25 regear with Aussie locker
I have a bearing in my Chrysler 8.25 going bad so thought I would do a regear with a locker. Going with 4.56 gears and a Aussie locker. Will there be enough room to fit the gears with the locker with any modifying to the differential housing such as grinding?

Replacing the bearings and gears is going to require they be properly reset. Might as well go with a full case locker at that point. The whole point of the lunchbox lockers besides being a bit cheaper is ease of install and no need to full reset your gears.

I just got done installing my 4.56 gears with a Spartan locker, the only modification you have to do is grind one of the teeth down a little on the ring gear so the cross pin can slide in.

We had to do some grinding to get the crosspin to fit with the 4.56s.

Thanks for the info guys.
