chopping a renix

Im getting some 32 inch tires soon and was looking at how much space I will have
Its not a lot at all and I was wondering about chopping. I noticed the vacuum bottle and was wondering his difficult it would be to relocate and who has done it. Also if there are other things I should look out for while cutting besides the obvious. Thanks for the help guys.

vacuum ball is easy to move put it up by the fire wall since thats where the lines run.

Where is the best spot for it?

Underneath the coolant bottle.

I just had to do this to my 88. I ended up mounting it in front of the coolant bottle and it worked great.

So I chopped the fenders and found a lip in the front wheel well and was wondering if this could be cut down without and problems. Its 2 sheets so I would have to tack it together after right?

Yes, and you'll find you must do the same to the rears once cut.

D_Conrad Jan 13, 2011 04:10 PM

but i can cut that out right? i was told with the unibody if you cut too much it will twist easly.

dont cut the seam out, just slice it every inch or so and then hammer them flat with a bfh.

D_Conrad Jan 14, 2011 11:35 PM

The seam inside the wheel well?

odgreen Jan 14, 2011 11:45 PM
