"you can use anything you want. girls panties, peoples skin, **** carpet etc. I would use something light weight so it wont sag later and consider something that is easy to clean."
If your using a spray glue to put it on I'd suggest spaying some on a piece of it and see if it has any ill reaction.

I used some real tree camo on my last one it was a rubber lined fabric and some loctite spray adhesive on both the bored and the fabric let it tack up and lay it on. Held up really well for my second headliner. I did one in fake suade in my old chevy pickup

I redid the headliner in my daughter's 1982 Buick. The foam & fabric was falling off the board. After removing all the trim I had to bend the board in half to remove it from the car...which really mucked up the board. In order to save the board (and thus the whole job) I first removed as much foam residue from the board as I could using a stiff brush, then I painted the board with epoxy and laid some 6 oz fine weave fiberglass cloth on it. More epoxy to thoroughly wet out the cloth, and let it cure. Next day I came back and laid the fabric on it with 3M Super 77. Sprayed both sides.
I had to bend it in half again to get it back into the car, but now it sprung right back into shape and fit perfectly. Without the fiberglass it would've just disintegrated.
This headliner was definitely worth the effort; 1982 Buick was a POS car...but I sold it to a couple of hippies for a premium price. Then I bought my daughter an XJ.

anything will work as long as it is glued correctly and you follow the directions on the can. I used snow camo from realtree, http://store.realtree.com/realtree-a...mo-fabric.html.
