Default cheapest way to go from 2" to 3"

I have a 2" poly spacer / AAL lift right now and I'm wondering what the cheapest way to go up to 3". I don't know much about what combinations of things ie: shackles + AAL work or how it works. I'm assuming I could possibly get 3" poly spacers (or springs) and a 1" shackle to add to the back??

I've posted on here about trimming my fenders because I'm low on clearance but if I could get another inch of lift for not a whole lot more effort and cash I'd rather do that.

Maybe add a shackle to the rear (I'd suggest avoiding using a block)

And I'd just get bigger springs for the front, they really aren't that expensive

Yea. I wouldn't run 3" coil spacers on stock springs for a 3" lift. And shackles for the rear might be okay. I would suggest just getting a 3" lift kit and so it right. You could also do a junkyard lift.

I'm talking anything under $100 total. I'm eventually going to go up to 6.5" (but not for a long time) so I don't want to spend money I don't have on the middle ground. I'm satisfied with my 2" but I don't have the clearance for the wheeling that I'm doing. I either need to trim the fenders or go up to 3".... I know trimming is basically free cuz I'd do it myself. but its worth it to me to get another inch for under $100.

I still wouldn't run those 3" coil spacers.
Search "budget builds: what junkyard parts will fit xj" (I think that's what the threads called.) You can use thunderbird coils for 3-4" of lift. Get those at a junkyard.

your only good option is to basically buy a 3" kit. you could make some cash back by selling your spacers, but not much. if you search used parts you could do it for under $100, but then luck comes into play on what deals you can find.

yeha search the JY thread, but the front you could find some up-country coils (as long as yours isn't one) at the JY or used for pretty cheap and would give you 1" more up front, then run a shackle in the rear.... thats the easiest/best option other then springs IMO.

you could also run a rear shackle relocation kit which would add 1 inch in the rear and improve ride quality, but would be above 100$ on its own...

Well shoot just cut your fenders then. You're gunna want to anyway when you go to 6.5" and throw some 35" tires on it.
