Cheapest place to buy stronger Dana 30 shafts
Got a 97 wrangler d30 that I'm rebuilding and I'm going to put some 4340 shafts in it. So far the cheapest I have seen is on eBay. They have us standard ones for 399 plus like 30 for shipping. Anybody know a place to get them
Cheaper? Looking for outers and inners.

I got Chromolly shafts and Yukon Super joints from Rawk Haus Supply for 550 shipped for my D30 last spring.
Regular Spicer Ujoints would have dropped the price by around 150.
I'll be ordering my gears from them as well later this fall.

Way outside your budget, but well worth the investment.

Don't know about the shafts, but I had really good customer service when I was pricing parts. I ended up buying gears and lockers from him. I can't say anything bad. Actually a really good experience. "Two thumbs up"!

Check out the classifieds section here first and then your local XJ clubs or Jeep clubs and see if anyone has used alloys for sale. New, used, it all breaks eventually any way.

I have have One guy that was impossible to please. He wanted one thing, didnt offer it any more. He asked for just a set of shafts and I offered him a set of 4340 and even listed Exactly what he was getting before he paid on a electronic invoice he had to review and click on to pay. He got them and had some petty issues that ultimately I offered him to Keep the shafts he didn't like, and I would refund them, AND take a huge amount off of the set he wanted after he changed his mind. Meaning I was giving him a set of shafts for free, and giving him less then cost on another set of shafts that he decided he wanted instead of what he ordered and paid for.
I dont want to muddy up your thread, but I think thats way more customer service then anyone else here or any forum would offer?
And as a side note, those USA Standard shafts are strong. I sell between 2-5 sets a week. I have for about 5-6 yrs at that rate. I have seen maybe 5 total shafts in that time get returned for warranty replacement. Do the math and you will see a extremely low breakage or return rate for any reason.
But in any case. Bad experience travels fast and with fury. Great experience only comes to the surface when its directly asked about, unfortunately.
