You could do the DIY weld in beadlocks if you already have steal wheels?

You can recenter H1s pretty cheap and DOT approved, which most aren't, but then your stuck with a 16.5" wheel. They are some of the few double beadlocks though. Weld on ones can be had pretty cheap as well but if you don't weld great have someone else weld them on. It's not just your life by everyone around you. Basset Wheels are pretty cheap but their beadlocks are made for dirt track and not street legal.

Ha my buddy (dpace7xj) has some 38x16.5 tires he got but he's havin a haed time findin a rim. Maybe ill recommend those to him. But are the DIY beadlocks super hard to do? Id really like to give those a shot... I don't know how, to do them. But I wanna learn. There's a first for everything, right? How could I learn that?

iv never done a set but if he does a lot of on road driving id recommend a set of recentered h1 wheels.
i have heard stories about the bolts shearing off of a normal style bead lock while going down the street, and it becomes very very ugly, iv only used recentered h1s so i cant honestly compare the two from a first hand account.
i will recommend the h1 wheels though

Are these just those military ones? And what do you mean by recentered ones?

mine dont have rock rings yet thats why they look different than the one on the tw fab site, im having a friend make mine for a case of beer, its cheaper that way lol
the ring sets in the lip you see in the first pic

the second pic is the back side of the wheel

and the third pic is an overall pic of how the wheels look without rock rings.

imo, the words "cheap" and "beadlock" should never go together when talking about a street driven jeep.

I am running a set of 17" diy locks as well as a set of 15" Diy Locks. They are more work. They work well, but unless you are a maintenance freak... I would invest in a set of staun, inner air bead locks.
