ok, i want to change out my steering wheel so i don't have an air bag anymore. i have a 96 sport. but i can't find a grant steering wheel kit for it or will the one from the older models work. i really dont want to wheel with an air bag.

Get the 1995 jeep kit and what i did was took it apart to were i found a black round thing take that offhand everything will go together

Legally not supposed to remove air bag wheel and replace with non-air bag wheel. But if this is for "offroad" then can be done. I believe that 95 had airbags also, but grant adapter for 87-94 should work fine.

That is correct. Driver airbags in 95,96. Pass Airbags in 97-01

thank you!!! bought the kit for the older one. kit number 3196 and yes, off road "use" only. i'm now bag less.

I have a 97 that had air bags before the crash but I drive mtg jeep everyday with a wheel that doesn't have an air bag

Couldn't you just disconect the wires?

Yes and then ur air bag light will be on unless u take the light out

If urban lazy and don't want to take urban dash part just put black tape over it

the air bag that was on my wheel had no wires to it. the sencer was on the airbag and after removing it the airbag. the light did not come on.
