CB radio mounting location?

I can't seem to find the thread on here, but there's one where the original poster asks about that Cobra CB where the whole radio is within the handheld mike and the general consensus was that that radio was no good.
Anyway, somewhere in that thread that I cannot find is a picture of a slim CB mounted in the dash under the regular AM/FM/CD player and above the heater controls. You'd have to do some trim cutting and the CB needs to be pretty slim, but that's the cleanest setup I've seen.
If I ever decide that I need a CB, I will go that route and wire the audio output to the existing door speakers, leaving the AM/FM radio on the rear speakers.

Would you really use the CB more than the radio? I'd either wire the CB to the rear speakers or just use the stock speaker.
