Default cant get an alignment??

Hey guys, I have a 3" lift on my jeep and the shop says they can't align it unless I buy a drop pitman arm? does this seem like BS?

Yes, that's BS.

Now, they may feel like they can't align it properly without a dropped pitman arm. What trac-bar are you running?

Personally, I could 'align' your Jeep with a tube sock for a linkage if I wanted to...

Did they want you to buy the pitman arm from them?

they didnt want me to but they suggested it. I told them I can do it myself then. Everything In the front is stock, including my drag link.

The only reason you'd need a different pitman arm is to put your tracbar and drag link on the same plane. If one is way out of parallel to the other then you may need a dropped pitman arm but at 3"s of lift... I doubt it.

You DO, on the other hand, either need to relocate your current tracbar or invest in a new adjustable one. 3"s of lift on the stock tracbar will have your axle way off center.

Upgrading the track bar does make a difference. At 3" the axle isn't centered with the stock one.

Get it aligned first and if it's still present we'll diagnose the death wobble. The alignment will most likely fix the issue.

Go to a different shop. This guy is an idiot. Do NOT pay him a dime.

Is there a 4x4 shop anywhere near you?

I HATE old idiots that are set in their ways.
