Can I use short arms on a 6.5" lift w/ no drop brk
I am putting to gether a 6.5 lift. i used rustys upper and lower comtrol arms with the flex joints (the lowers have a bend to them)
6.5 coil springs ,drop pitman arm,and a iron man track bar.
RC 3"leaf spring with a iron man 2-3.5 '' shakel.
got some Qs
do i need drop brakets or can i ride with out them?
do i need to replace the tie rod set up to a over nuk?
can i get away with out a slip yoke elim and just a t case drop?

im pretty sure all of your questions have been answered a bazillion times.
its gonna ride like butt unless you do it right. you can get away with trying to do it on the cheap, but your gonna spend twice as much when you realize you should have done it right in the first place.
this is just my opinion, as im sure there are a ton of people on here who have done it the same way you are trying to. i myself did this up to cherokee number 5....my suspension now cost more than the jeep itsself and was worth every penny.

That much lift on short arms is going to have a terrible ride. Your control arms will be on such an extreme angle that their going to transfer every little bump to the body (the Jeeps and yours). Like Hudfab stated, its ussually cheaper to lift it right the first time. For example, 3-4" lift on current arms, long arms or short arms with the drop brackets.

U don't have to but like stated it'll ride like crap... but u can get by... as long as the arms are made for 6.5in lift in the first place... u will need a sye if u plan to flex at all which your not because you will have short arms on the front anyways... your steering will be fine one road as well but wont let ya flex any off... on road your probly alright... Offroad your not...

Short answer to your questions is yes, no, yes, BUT you will regret it in the future. You will Need the SYE, Tc drop will not cure the excesive Driveline angles and the fact that the stock drive shaft will be on the verge of falling out. You should go OTK, not only does this move the steering compenents up higher, reduce chances of damage, it makes the component line up better. You will want Brackets or go to Long Arms, with out one of these your control arms will be at almost max droop sitting in the driveway, this mean very little flex on the trail. The ride will be rough might as well through the shocks away cause they wont be doing much dampening.

im gunna run it with out the rear shakels for now or just keep it low on the adjustment till i get the sye and i will have to order the drop brackets.
some one sed to mention the forum at rc and we get a 10% dis of parts?
any other brands that make the drop bk?

Discounts usually only apply to paying forum members, but you can ask.... stock shackle wont work well, Just do TC drop and shim the axel till you get the SYE.
