can a 93 jeep cherokee motor and trans swap in to a 79 ish cj7
I have a 79 jeep cj7 and a 93 jeep cherokee 4.0 everything in good shape but bodyis falling apart. The cj has good body but no motor or trans can I make a frankinstin cj. Just wondering if any one ahs done or heard of being done and what all parts can I switch over I know its alot of work but I have time

Only you can decide if YOU can swap it. It can be done. But it's not going to be a direct bolt in. You might have to fab motor mounts, figure out the cooling system, tranny lines if it's an auto. And mount the ECU and rewire the engine.

toughest part is getting the motor to run outside of the cherokee. I believe the trans is controlled by a separate computer,...
