Default Bushwackers with no lift?

Hey guys finally getting some money to start my build and i want your opinions on something. Do you guys think a gold xj with bushwacker cutouts and no lift would look weird with 31s? I dont wanna have to regear just yet :P

From what I've seen Bushwackers just look to big unless you got 33" or bigger tires on a wide stance wheel.

Have you considered Napier's flares? They are much nicer than the bushwackers and they don't stick out so far.

Bushwacker flat flares would look better with smaller tires. 31's and pocket flares look out of place to me. But that's just my opinion.

Here's 3" and 31's with pocket flares.

IMO that jeep wouldnt look too bad if it wasnt lifted so high for those tires. I figure ill trim about 2" to put the flares on and so if my stock tires are 29" wide then a 31" tire would make it have the same clearance as stock you guys follow me?

Flares are overrated. First time on the trail they'll get ripped off. And there goes your $300 in plastic.

Get Napier flares when you have 33's and a lift.. otherwise don't bother.

It's not the lift that makes the tires look bad it's the flares. Here is my 3" lift with 31s. Pretty much the same setup just with stock flares. With pocket flares the width of the tire playes a big role with looks as well. As stated pocket flares don't quite look right till you get 33's which are typically 12.5 wide tires.

I also wouldn't put trim anymore than the instructions recommend. You will not have a problem fitting 31's with no lift with bushwackers.

So basically you guys are saying go big or no flares? Haha i just thought it might work cuz ive seen bushwackers with 33s on stock height but it seemed like it would rub to hell so i figured id go with 31s :P i do value your opinions and suggestions though guys

In the end it really doesn't matter what we think. It's your Jeep man so do what you think looks good. 33's and no lift would rub like crazy off road haha.
