Default bushwacker removal

so lets just say this winter i maybe removing my bushwackers on my 2001 four door......and i may be doing a write up on tube fenders. If i were to do this what would be the best what to cover the holes in my rear door. First i was thinking 2 piece tube fender like the bushwackers are, but i dont really like that. I can always just weld the holes and paint the door again but i dont really wanna do that either. what have some of you guys done?

Welding the holes and repainting would be your best bet
