Bumpers?
I have an '88 that I picked up and have been working on. Both the front and back bumpers were beat to an un-repairable state, as well as the mounting brackets. I was able to pull the bumpers and brackets off an 1998 Cherokee for a fraction of what I would of paid for new. I recall reading somewhere that I believe in 1997 Jeep changed the base with of the Cherokee, so my question is can anyone confirm this to be True? If so does anyone have the base width numbers of the 1988 Cherokee opposed to the 1998 Cherokee, so I can stretch these bumpers to fit? Thank You

I honestly don't know if the width changed but when you say "so I can stretch these bumpers" Are you doing this yourself? If so why not build a custom bumper. If your paying someone to do it save your money.

I would do the "stretch" myself. But for what I paid, 86.00 for both the front and rear bumpers, mounting brackets and the end caps(all in good condition). I couldn't pass it up.
