Bump stops on a LCG build?

I really like the idea of a low center of gravity build. I'm not looking to go huge on it. Maybe 185/75/16 (33"), but with a 3" lift. I know that means cutting some sheet metal and bump stops. But, this is a double duty rig, not a trailer queen. I don't want big hard bump stops that feel like you crashed when they bottom out and touch the axle. I'd appreciate some advice.

stevemongr has progressive bumpstops on his jeep for jumps.

I plan on doing jks acos pro for the front of my build. I haven't decided on what I'm gonna do in the rear.

Bump stops actually help you believe it or not. I cut mine once and it was the worse thing ive ever done to my jeep. Had the coils fall out on a trail

^^^ Yeah bump stops are always necessary, they absorb necessary pressures.

Short of air bumps you have to stick to the oem style for the most part.

In the front I have oem bumps with hockey pucks stacked on the bottom. Sure, kinda ghetto but works good. Attachment 281593 In the rear I have the Dirtbound bumpstops plates and "progressive" bumps. These are awesome. The stop is mellow, I can hardly tell when I hit the stop.

Thanks. That rear bump sounds good. I see its mounted on the spring. Does it contact the top one, or it the top removed and it contacts the frame?

It contacts the unibody rail. I snapped all 4 bolts for my oem bumps and this was a good way to not have to worry about those.

Yup. I try my hardest. Best part about it is you usually reply to my posts with a smart comment so it keeps me smiling. But mistakes happen and the theory was I would get more up travel therefore better flex. Thought my shocks would limit my axle from doing that but I learned from it. Fixed my issue and bought longer shocks. That was when I didn't know much about solid axles, and I didn't think before I cut them. Jeep has been fixed since that run and I out wheel a lot of guys near me.
