Are those tires real MTR's or Treadwright Retreads clones?

Been thinking real hard on the clones.

How noisy are they?

I think you did a great Job, although you should have painted them prior to mounting them

Yeah, real MT/Rs. not bad for noise, just a little hum.

I welded in the tnt unibody stiffeners first, and they seem very solid. I mounted just the two places to the "frame", four 1/2" grade 8's each.

haha, I built them on the vehicle, I don't trust my measuring abilities enough to make them on the bench. If you can see I need to take them off to finish welding them, then I think I'll have them sprayed with bedliner. i drive alot of gravel roads and normal paint won't last.

Thanks for the compliments, they are taking a fair amount of time to build, but i enjoy fabricating and i think jks gets like 425 bucks for similar style sliders.

No, I havn't mounted them to the pinch weld....I didn't see where i needed to i guess. I figured they might push up on the rocker a little but then most of the stress would be on the unibody mounts, which are very solid with the stiffeners in there....maybe I'm wrong though.

haha I don't know how much I would need to make another set, it wouldn't be cheap...i prolly have over $100 in steel and will have about 10hrs in them. i think about the only way i could sell them and make enough money is if I made jigs to mass produce.

And I don't hunt deer, but we sure have plenty of them around here! I could get a landowners permit, but never got into it i i guess. where are you located?

AND MERRY CHRISTMAS, XJ FRIENDS!!! Have a good one!
