Building a 4.7
Trying to get some info and experience with anyone who has built a 4.0 into a 4.7 stroker. I'm wondering what crank and rods were used along with any other details. I'd also like to use the Edelbrock aluminum head and some good roller rockers. Also a recommendation on an oil pump, perhaps Melling that would push around 65 lbs. I think the additional oiling on that lower end would go a long way toward keeping this sucker in good shape. Comp cams makes some incredibly nice cams that put my power curve right where it will do the most good. I love my 4.0 and with a little work it could outrun a small V-8 easily and be torque as hell along with great reliability and gas mileage. I drive this one on a lot of road trips and the extra guts will be much appreciated. I have a good bit of experience building hot street motors but this is my first six.
Thanks in advance guys!
