Welcome and sounds like a nice XJ LIFTED97XJ !

I'm glad mine is on the cheap side but then again mine was free to start as it was totaled! the build up after repair is starting to add up but not bad Yet!

It's actually going to be around $10 K plus the original price of the Jeep. That will include the engine over-hall, rebuilt front and rear diffs (Dana 30 high pinion, and Dana 44 rear, with chrome molly shafts all around (plus other stuff), disk break conversion, completely refurbished interior, upgraded suspension and steering parts, SYE, new drive shaft, etc, etc. The damn thing will be like new.
But I started with a "California Jeep", zero rust. Was sitting in a barn. Just had to chase out mice

I added a PDF attachment of my costs so far.
I have a more comprehensive list on my desktop.
I'm sitting at just under $7k, but I still have to do lockers and gears, rebuild the t-case / tranny, build the motor, body work / paint, and do the interior.
The bottom line...
This is the SUV that I want to own. I know it inside & out, and can save thousands on labor doing the work myself.
I also don't have to worry about voiding a factory warranty by changing out parts. And the icing is that it's paid off.
Taking out 60k loan with 15% interest on something I don't really like anyway would be far more irresponsible (at least for me and my current financial situation).
