Okay, so my 91 was stricken with the terrible bendix 9 abs system. Im planning to yank that all out and throw in a booster and master cylinder from a 96, my question is regarding the proportion valve. Every thing I read says I need to get a newer one, but nothing as to the reason why. So why wont the stock on already in my jeep work?

i ran my stock one after my upgrade for two years really had no issues recently i just swapped the spring and seems the front more pressure now giving even better stopping power

What spring did u replace? I put a 96 booster and master in my 89 but used the 89 prop valve. the brakes are better than they were but still pretty poor overall

Why dont you do the grand cherokee booster upgrade at the same time. Its night and day better on my 94
