Have you done this? I thought I may be neat to have I have it mounted to shifter I could use ideas on how to tie it in. If so I'd like to see it.

Guys with a stick put a hand throttle on the shifter so they arent jumping around pedals as much. Are you stick or auto

most would use a non indexed thumb shifter from a cheap department store bike and mount that to the stick shifter. (most front shifters are non indexed, friction shifters).

use a rear shifter cable and housing and feed that through the fire wall and onto the throttle lever on the throttle body. you will see how it needs to be installed just by looking at the gas pedal cable and cruise cable. you may need to get a little creative here.

I had an '87 XJ that I wanted to warm up better on subzero mornings. I rigged up a rear derailleur twist-shifter (I think a SRAM MRx), so I had 7 indexes I could set the idle at. Mounted flush with the top of the manual shift stick, it worked well as a shifter ****. I'll also admit I used it once or twice as a dangerous type of cruise control.

I got it working I couldn't get cruise to work ever not do I need it so I cut the cruise line up and used some little springs I had laying around to help pull the TB closed. It was sticky

no worries, just thought i would give that option, considering most towns have a bike shop or department store that sells bike/parts.

I used the shifter from a 10 speed bike for mine. A lot smaller and looks great too.

Here is mine,,, check it out
