Yeah Clayton I could I just got some cheap little tabs from ballistic fab when I got my truss they were like a buck a piece and ten just welded Em to a little plate haha I also kept my old rear away bar mounts I may b able to weld Em up for ya if u wanted

No, you don't HAVE to modify anything. I would recommend a grade 8 bolt in a slightly smaller diameter and a sleeve, so that's technically modifying them.

Yes, they work well. If you haven't broken a bar pin before, then you haven't wheeled hard enough. I've broken two bar pins, one front, one rear, and it is well worth it to change how the shocks mount. BPEs shouldn't change the way the Jeep rides, but they are definitely a stronger mount than a bar pin.

Your shocks must have been acting as your limiting straps and/or bumpstops. Or you could have shimmed your rear axle/ welded on new perches and didn't account for the new angle of the lower shock mounts.

I have never broken a bar pin. and I'm pretty sure I wheel plenty hard.

Granted i ditched the fronts as soon as i swapped 3/4 ton axles on my rig, and ditched the rears when I installed my shock hoops, but that was only because shock tabs are so much simpler to fabricate.
