bored throttle body? 60mm or 62mm or 63mm?
so ive been considering getting a bored out body.
found this on ebay
63mm stock body custom flap
then theres the one from jeepers and creepers thats supposed to be less susceptible to cracks.
62mm custom body custom flap
and then the one here on cherokee forum
60mm stock body stock flap
what are your guys thoughts opinions?
is it true that above 60mm on a stock body tends to get really weak?
any info is appreciated thanks guys

c'mon guys?
i know theres other out there who have done this..
do the 63mm bored stock bodies crack? thats my main question i guess.
cuz if they dont im going for that for 90$
if they do crack..
then the question comes down to
50$ for 60mm
or 200$ for 62mm

The intake manifold is 62mm wide so anything bigger than that is pointless unless you make the intake manifold hole larger.
60mm uses the stock butterfly plate and the throttle body is just board so the inlet and outlet are the same size.

I purchased my 63mm bored TB from http://www.strokedjeep.com . I really don't see how it could crack, even bored to 64mm, unless you bash 20lb rocks against it. Worth the money, better mpgs, and more fun driving.

some of them have small airpockets and impurities inside the casting so when you bore it out those become noticable and sometimes can make things crack.
thats why he doesnt bore that large.??
thanks for all the great info guys.
super helpful
i think ima go with strokedjeep.com
and look into getting it powdercoated.

ok, after reading this thread im interested in buying one. anything to better my MPG's im down for it. now my question is which one of the many bored out ones is the best one for the money, they say the hole on the manifold is 62mm so it would seem pointless to get anything bigger than 62mm, right? more info would be great!!!
