would 32 be fine no problem on stock axles and gears w/ auto tranny? I'm guessing 33s is time for regearing...so when would anyone need to upgrade axles??

1) 32" or 33" tires would be okay with stock Gears. with 33" tires run stock gears are okay, 4.56 or 4.88 gears are better. 35" tire run 4.56 or 4.88's (4.88's are better for 35") IMO

2) Depends what axles you are running as stock. If you have the Dana 30 LP or Dana 30 HP up front you should be okay up to 35". If you are running a Dana 35 out back, 32" or 33" Max (some guys are having good luck with the D35 & 35's). Crysler 8.25 is just about as strong as the D44's and can run 35" no problem.

I wanted to swap out my D30LP with a D30HP (High pinions are stronger than the low pinion) up front & since i have a D35 out back, I am swappin' in a Cry 8.25 29 spline out back. Locker up front & LSD out back in the 8.25. I'm plannin on doing more hardcore wheelin this summer so don't want issues with axles, also long plan is to go to 35" tires....

Everyone will give you different answers, above is my .02, kinda gotta make your own decisions.....

Good luck

thanks a lot for the input man! so, in your opinion, id be fine running d30 up front and 8.25 rear with 33 or 35 and 4.88 gears. thats 4.88 front and back right? and another question, how do i tell if my front d30 is LP or HP?

thanks again!
