Best Diff Covers?
Hey all, I've been scouting around for diff covers for my front D30 and (possibly) rear Chrysler 8.25...any suggestions on where and what to look for?
Currently had my eye on the ARBs at the high-end and SOLID at the more budgety end. However, haven't seen any Chryco 8.25 covers anywhere...is it typical to cover that baby up in the back or is it more just an issue of aftermarket support? |
Check out riddler differential covers. I hear they're pretty sweet.

I got one of these up front and have bashed it pretty good and it still looks new.

Nice, I'd seen Riddler and Rugged Ridge in a couple places as good options. Under Cover is new to me...good suggestions.

I like the Bluetorch fab diff covers they are bombproof 3/8" mounting ring and 1/4" plating , This thread reminds me I need to order some for the XJ !

The Solid Diff Covers are tough to beat for the price. I had a set on my TJ that stood up to a bunch of abuse.

i like anything with a real lip on it. ruffstuff, BTF, GLO, etc.

Any problems with one ton steering hitting an aftermarket cover?

I have the Solid cover for my Chrysler 8.25. I painted the "SOLID" same as my exterior. For the price, I like it.
|
Solid Diff covers. I have them front and back. Tough as hell and cheap.

I'd read on this guy in Australia's XJ page (google it as "Go Jeep XJ" or close to that) that he used "Mr. Concept" diff covers that were aluminum and 60% better for heat conduction than steel or iron.
Figure that's more of an issue in a desert climate? Can the aluminum hold up in terms of strength? And, lastly, anybody know of this Mr. Concept company - I can't find it anywhere. |
