best compromise tire ?
in 33x12.5x 15, best compromise tire between a at & a mt, good road manners ,not as loud as a mt, but almost the offroad ability of a mt when aired down. what say you ?

My vote is for the Goodyear Duratrac or the Cooper Discoverer STT. Both have great road manners and are very quiet. Both have lasted (in my experience) over 50,000 miles (on my truck not on my jeep, jeep doesn't get driven enough). I'm running the cooper right now on my jeep and am pretty happy with it. I still would have gotten the Duratrac if it came in a 35x12.5x15. I have the Duratrac on my truck in a 32 approximate equivalent and couldn't be happier in mud, snow, and rocks.

My STT's are not too loud, they're definitely not quiet but they're not swampers. With that being said, I haven't ran them on the road for more then a few days. I was very happy with their road manners.

This has not been my experience the STTs on my XJ are nearly as quiet as the Duratrac on my truck. There's a discernable difference but they don't howl like you'd expect of mud tires

It depends on how much or little you want to spend on tires. Like where you wheel at and how many do you think you will tear up in a year off road or is it just a DD and you want mileage.
Mine isn't a DD and where I wheel ripping out a sidewall is common when aired down so I bought accordingly.
