Default Best Bang 4 Buck Winch Bumper

My wife got me a winch for Christmas not knowing I would need a bumper to mount the winch. Opinions on BB4B front winch bumper. I wanted the JCR Offroad Vanguard, which comes with their uni body tie in and steering box spacer but that near $800 bare metal !

Jcr's D.I.Y. Is $300, if you can weld. The tie ins are extra, but its a fun project.
You can find it on sale for less every now and then.

I like this one from Rusty's, seems like a good deal at $429, though I've never seen any of their bumpers in person.

The only thing i don't like about this is that it sticks out from the bottom...would be worried about damaging it on a rock

If you can weld you got a lot of diy weld up bumper kits out there,Or bite the bullet and get what you want.

As long as you don't have an integrated winch you can mount the solenoid box anywhere if you have the right length cables.

I've bought three welded steel bumpers from Logans Metal Products and I really like them all. Impressive quality for the price. I've been fortunate enough to have nothing but positive experiences with Logans ... others not so much. YMMV.

I though about that but not really a welder. I could probably get by but I want it to be straight If I go JCR I would let them do it since I have seen their welds and I would assume they have a jig set up to make sure its true.

Likely going to go with another brand. $750 unfinished IMO is a little over the top considering you can get similar bumpers finished for $500.

Best bang for buck could be this one from Rusty's for only $379 painted. It's like the one I posted ealier but without the prerunner bar, though I'll probably get the one with the bar.

Liking their bumpers.. particularly the Front Winch Bumper w/ Pre Runner but with JCR free shipping this puts price about on par.
