Best 8.5 lift for money
I'm looking at lifting my jeep to 8.5 inches of lift an I have a couple questions. First who all sells a 8.5 lift I know of rustys an Clayton but who else? Who of them has the best bang for your buck with out cutting conners? An what would be the best tire size with 8.5 lift daily driving it. Thanks for any input

For 35s I wouldn't lift more than 5 inches, 37s maybe 6.5 inches. I run 3.5 and 33s I could easily run 35s if I cut the rear fenders. There is a member here who runs 37s on 2 inches of lift. No matter how high you lift it, you will have to cut the fenders to run 37s or to run 35s and hope to have any amount of up travel.

I'd change your leafs to full 3.5 inch packs and add a 1 inch shackle, buy some long arms and some decent shocks, and run with it dude. Put some 35s on and you will be set.

You'll be able to do more than hang with the other guys if you stay Low COG. I would MAYBE go to 6" if i was going with 37's, but the lower and wider the better. I would go 3" and get a belly skid if you're wanting to out-do your buddies..

If your gonna wheel it youlle probably bust off the bushwhackers some people are really carefull and don't fck them up, but it's hard not to hit stuff in the woods. Also they only let you trim your fenders so much. You would have a few inches of uptravel and a ton of down travel if you go with long arms. Down travel is the important part.

Yeah I mean my one friend has a Xj on rustys 8 inch long arm with 35 an does all kinds of crazy stuff then got my other buddie on 10+ inches of lift with 37 having no problem with anything at all so I just want a good combination of lift to tire an my one friend said if you want bigger then 35 your honing to need a 8.5lift
