Bedliner the Floor!??
I'm considering ripping out the carpet and coating the entire floor with bedliner. Has anyone else tried this? I'm curious about road noise (it's my DD) and heat retention since it won't have the carpet & pad liner underneath. Also best type of bedliner to use.
Good idea, bad idea?

Did it on my TJ, no regrets. I used Herculiner, got it at Autozone, worked great and it has little bits of rubber mixed in it for added grip!

Road noise will greatly increase and insulating capabilities will greatly decrease.
Lots of threads covering this. If it were me I'd search and read every one of them. Some folks dont mind, others do.

A friend of mine bedlined his floors and said it sounded like the inside of a 55 gal drum. He had some of that "as seen on TV" spray rubber in a can or whatever....the commercial w the fat guy who puts a screen door in the bottom of a johnny boat and sprays that crap on it and it still lfoats. He used that over the bedliner and said it made a HUGE difference.

i noticed more road noise (not much though) and my leg always got cold in the winter, later found i had a 2 inch hole in the firewall where a plug fell out. I still have bare metal floors and i dont mind it, just dont leave heat sensitive things on the floor as it does get a little warm

What do you do with the wiring if the carpet is removed? Put loom over it? I like this idea since my carpet is looking a little dingy but I don't want wires exposed that I could screw up.
