Default bastard pack with 3" aal kit

so im trying to build a good dd on a budget but also have some good offroad capibility and I am thinking of buying a 3" zone lift with the add a leafs and instead of using these i planned to make a bastard pack..i want to know if its really worth the 200 i save buy not buying the full leaf kit or if its a bad idea or what you all think...also my leafs are pretty much flat so would I have to get a new main leaf or can I use the old ones without any major sagging? i want to fit 31x10.50s on it.

Make the bastard pack it's cheap and works I got 1995 chevy s10 springs from my junkyard. $80 for the pair, all I did was kept the main leaf to the xj attached and put the bastard pack on. My main leaf was bent the wrong way over the axle, and it easily corrected that adding the lift also. They give you approximately 3.5" of lift with all the leaves.

Lol wow, I'm probably getting ripped off, my only problem is it's the only junkyard around me unless I want to drive 3-4 hours😂😂

Go with the bastard pack. I did the bastard pack from a late 80's dodge dakota. Don't use the little short "overload" at the bottom of the dakota spring and ended up with 3 1/2" lift. With the little short leaf in the pack, you'll end up around 4 1/2".

Add a leaf pack will settle out and the ride stinks. Not to mention the add a leaf sacks out in no time.

Just a heads up. Start PB Blasting the spring mount bolts, shock mount bolts, and u bolts now. Every day give them a little blast. You can thank me later. lol

Happy Jeepin'
