Which backspace for this set up?
I have researched this topic to death, but I can't figure out what is best. So don't tell me to google it because I've spent HOURS researching so far. Granted, the difference may be negligible, I need to know which backspace to go with for my set up.
I am doing a 2" budget boost and 30x9.5x15. I'm buying the cragar soft 8's, but they sell them with the 4" backspace and the 4.25" backspace. Which do I purchase?
I want to be able to pop a curb or run ***** over without having to worry about my tire flexing and ripping my fender flare off. But I also want my tires to stick out right to the fender as close as I can so I have a ore aggressive stance. Will I be okay with the more aggressive 4" BS or do I want to go with the 4.25"?
This link Post #236 is EXACTLY what I want my finished product to look like.

Go with 4". Will tuck good. Not gonna notice that 1/4 inch of inward offset as far as rubbing. Better to keep your tires off the control arms if you decide to go bigger tire later though is why I would go 4". To really stuff you would need to trim a little with either backspace

My wheels are 16x8 with 4.25 backspace. Pic of it parked is with 35s and pic in the rocks is 33s. They RUB my control arms at full lock but stuffed in my fenders better than they would with more offset.

Do I want to go with the 15x7 or 15x8 for the 30's? I see most people do 15x8, but it seems like 15x7 is the more proper choice unless going with a 31x10.5x15

I just put 30's on 15x8. They look good but 31's would have been better. I might go with bigger tires in the future and didnt want to pay for rims twice which is why I did this. If you think this is where you're going to stop with your lift and tire size, I would stick with 15x7 for 30's.

31x10.5 would fit well on a 7 in wheel. so will the op's 9.5. 12.5 tires are usually mounted on 8 inch wheels.

Just don't expect them to air down very low without the possibility of popping the bead. 33x10.50 would be better for them.
